Humble beginnings are often a great indicator of someone’s character. In the case of Joseph Gileno, they certainly are. Joe was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, before moving to Putnam County in 2014 together with his siblings, parents, nephews, and nieces.
Joe grew up in a big household that supported each other through everything. His parents instilled great values in him from a young age, leading to his success professionally and personally. They were also encouraged to look for new opportunities and not to fear risks, this helped give him a go-getter and a can-do attitude.
After attending Iona College, he decided to get his Real Estate License and started working in the financial services industry. He quickly made a name for himself as someone who was not only knowledgeable but also trustworthy. He has a close-knit client base that he considers friends and family.
From his Bronx upbringing to his current role as a family man and business owner, it’s clear that for Joseph Gileno, family is everything. Joe’s story is one of hard work and determination, shaped by the values he learned from his own family. Yet, despite his success, he remains humble, always putting his loved ones first.
He currently resides in Brewster, NY, with his wife Melissa and their four children. In his free time, Joe still manages to find time to coach his kids’ baseball teams and enjoys spending weekends with his loved ones.
Dawn has over twenty years of marketing experience working for renown companies such as Publicitas Media Net, Tribune Company, The New York Sun, and Weight Watchers.
She is most recently known for re-branding several local company’s websites, producing advertising campaigns, and spearheading multiple public relations efforts.
Dawn is a Brewster resident, mom of two handsome young men, and active community member. When not in the office, Dawn tends to her garden, loves to cook, and can most likely be found at a baseball field watching her future Yankees play.
Laura is our phenomenal Ballston Lake Office Manager, running all our day-to-day operations. She is known for mentoring and supporting all our teammates.
Laura also prepares and reviews tax returns for individuals and corporations while researching various tax issues related to the tax compliance and tax planning duties.
She works closely with clients and tax authorities to ensure any discrepancies are resolved quickly and correctly.
Sam is a highly experienced Tax Preparer with more than two decades of experience in the financial industry.
Sam graduated from Luther College in Iowa with a major in Accounting, Economics, and Management. He is a graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce in India. Sam holds several licenses, including Series 7, Series 63, and New York Life Accident and Health License.
Outside of his professional life, Sam is passionate about sports, particularly soccer. On weekends, he devotes his time to supporting his kids' soccer games and spending time with his wife and children.
Edwin’s journey began at the University of Oregon, where he pursued his passion for finance. Majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics, those years laid the foundation for his career. The academic rigors and the dynamic campus life helped him develop a strong work ethic and an insatiable hunger for knowledge.
Edwin is filled with gratitude for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped him. Looking ahead, he aspires to continue his work at Fincadia Tax Services helping clients achieve their financial goals and mentoring the next generation of financial professionals.
Beyond his professional life, Edwin is a proud father to a vibrant four-year-old daughter. Balancing the demands of a high-pressure job with the joys of parenthood has been both challenging and rewarding but his daughter is his constant source of motivation and reminds him of the importance of financial stability and planning for the future.
Rob has been with Fincadia Tax Services since day one. He is currently the head of our Billing Department and manages all ongoing client relationships.
Rod is a Hampton University Alum with over 17 years of experience in the financial service industry. Rod understands the importance of optimizing the tax code to benefit client's long term financial goals. When not in the office Rod is active in his community and enjoys spending time gardening and cooking with his family.
Melissa overseas our Payroll Department and performs all vital accounting functions, such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and financial analysis. Melissa is a Brewster resident and mom of four beautiful children. She enjoys crafting when not in the office.
Jenn has worked as a payroll and bookkeeping specialist for almost 20 years. She is a key component to our Payroll, Billing and Bookkeeping Departments. Jenn has four amazing children and enjoys cooking and reading in her spare time.
Ross is the newest member of the Fincadia Tax Services family! He recently became a Certified Tax Preparer and is ready to rock this upcoming tax season. When not in the office he teaches music to young children and is an active member in a local band.
Greetings, my name is Vincent Maselli. I am an Enrolled Agent with over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, providing financial advisory and income tax preparation services. I graduated from Iona College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Throughout the years I have attended numerous continuing education courses and seminars to remain abreast with the ever-evolving financial landscape. I live in Carmel and have been a local resident for several years. I enjoy walking and bicycle riding, as well as listening to classical music. I have recently joined Fincadia Tax Services and am located in our Carmel office.
Lisa has been doing taxes for almost 20 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Fincadia and manages our newest office in Marlboro, NY.
Peggy has been part of Lisa Knights team for the last five years. She helps facilitate all tax documentation in our Newburgh/Marlboro office.
